Manage daily operations of the Procurement, Logistics, and Materials Management. Ensure that the material and service requirements of the Company are met in a timely, efficient, effective and ethical manner
Lead team in the initiation and development of long-term alliances with suppliers and internal stakeholders to leverage the company’s knowledge and purchasing power and secure the best products, service, quality and price in the industry
Develop strategies for strategic product sourcing and development, supplier negotiations, and effective inventory management
Provide strategic oversight of the company’s logistics, shipping and import/export activities
Continually seek out and develop new suppliers to ensure a competitive edge in the industry and the lowest possible delivered cost
Evaluate, make recommendations, and develop purchasing policies and procedures for the implementation of standards that represent best procurement and inventory practices while conforming to applicable corporate policies and procedures
Will work on business system implementations and process changes to streamline and improve procurement and material management efficiencies. Promote and support adoption of new changes for department impact and long-term sustainability
Ensure that our Code of Business Conduct is followed in dealings with all suppliers and distributors;
Responsible for procurement budget and KPI’s for all acquisitions: material, energy, spare parts, equipment, transport and logistic services
Identify new business opportunities in domestic and export markets, in current as well as new segments (large and niche);
Conduct research to identify new customers and consumer’s needs;
Lead innovation process;
Develop new products;
Identify business strengths and propose goods and services based on business opportunities;
Development of marketing literature;
Work with technical staff and group colleagues to develop products portfolio;
Manage the portfolio of sales projects;
Monitor projects progress as to ensure successful delivery according to customer needs and deadlines, as well as internal Return on Investment targets;
Submitting formal reports and providing regular management feedback
